HTR Turkey Travel guide
PRIVATE TOURS BY TURKEY WITH HTR TOURS
A private tour to Turkey can transform your vacation into a delight!
IN WHAT CONSIST A PRIVATE TOUR?
A private tour in Turkey consists in a tour designed and reserved only for you and your companions. We as Htr are one of the most professional agencies with a lot of experience in this issue both in Cappadocia and in all Turkey.
WHY CHOOSE HTR TOURS?
Why choose us? Because we have a lot of experience, we know our regions well and how to move in the most efficient way according to what you want to see and the time you have available. We have excellent guides, vehicles with A / C for non-smokers, clean and comfortable, with courteous drivers, and we can also take it out of the way traced to meet local people, enjoy regional cuisine and take a look at life in Turkey.
In addition, you are buying directly from a local agency and without intermediaries. Turkish travel agencies must be reliable and pay substantial bail, form a corporation and are subject to default. The regulations for tour operators in Turkey are very strict and there are severe sanctions if a visit is made without a professional guide or if the law is violated in some way. Both the police and the delegates of the guide association verify routes around the tourist areas of interest to ensure that high standards are met.
The cost: the cost of a private tour of Turkey depends on several factors; see the four categories below.
1. How many people are in your group?
The more people in the group, the less expensive the trip will be, since transportation costs and professional guidance are shared among the group.
2. What kind of hotels will be used?
The hotels used in your private tour depend on you. We work with many hotels in Turkey. In general, the cost of moderate and first class hotels (3-4 stars and most boutique hotels) does not greatly affect the price of the private tour, but if it goes to the 5 star or luxury category, generally You will see an increase in the tour price. A double room in a good quality hotel can cost approximately between 70 and 120 euros, but if you are thinking of something better, you will pay 200 euros and more for the night. Prices especially for Istanbul luxury hotels can be much higher.
When you request a private tour, it is very important for us to know what you would pay for your accommodation and also what facilities you want the hotel to have. All the hotels we work with have a private bathroom and shower or bath, heating, hot water 24 hours and air conditioning (except the stone / cave hotels in Cappadocia where air conditioning is not necessary). Smoking is no longer allowed in indoor spaces in Turkey, so technically all hotel rooms should be smoke-free.
We offer a wide range of boutique hotels and we suggest you try it. Why come here to stay at a standard chain hotel when Turkey has so many diverse boutique properties to offer? By staying in accommodations that are managed by a family, you help take money directly to the local economy. If you travel in the region, we recommend a stay in one of the cave or volcanic rock hotels in Cappadocia, which should not be missed.
3. What is included?
Hotels: You must decide what you want to include in your tour. If you prefer to book your own hotels, keep in mind that most hotels offer discounts or commissions to the travel agency. The benefit obtained by the agency that makes reservations for your hotel allows you to save, because when combined in a package, the profit margin of the tour will be reduced.
Meals: What meals would you like to include in your private tour of Turkey? Almost all hotels in Turkey include breakfast in the price and some also include dinner. Most lunches are taken at local restaurants during your tour and, if you include your lunches, you are usually presented with a variety of options but can not order a la carte. If you have children who may or may not eat a full serving, it may make sense and save you money not to include lunches on your private tour. Or if you are interested in Turkish cuisine and would like to try the restaurants that offer more regional specialties, then you will also want to pay for your own lunches. What about the dinner? If your hotel is centrally located and dinner is not included, it is quite easy to go out on your own. In Istanbul, not many of the hotels offer dinner, as there are many restaurants within walking distance.
Guide: in private tours, we must provide you with a professional guide and we can not give you a single driver, since the laws oblige us to provide a guide for visitors who visit ancient sites and attractions. The official guide salaries in Turkey are substantial and the guide is paid in three different salary scales. 1: Daily salary of the guide that is to guide only during the day from the base of operations. 2. Western Turkey (terrestrial) 3. Eastern Turkey (terrestrial). The first category is the cheapest and the eastern part of Turkey is the most expensive.
Fuel: Fuel in Turkey is one of the most expensive things in the world. If you want a totally flexible private travel itinerary, the fuel is not included and you pay as you go. If you want a walk on a mountain path or a detour through a valley, it may cost more. Because fuel is very expensive and the guide's salary is lower for day trips compared to land excursions, the most economical way to take a private tour, especially for 2-3 people, is to fly between areas and have local guides.
Or if you do not worry about the costs, we can just take you on a tour like a sultan!
Most private tours usually include the following: transfers, domestic flights, accommodation, tickets, fuel, tolls, ferry, some meals, professional guide full-time or during the day, vehicle and driver (except walking tours). We can not guarantee the prices of the flights after the time of the quote unless we are given names such as they come in the passports and dates of birth of the people in the group.
Private tours do not include: international flights, some meals, drinks, tourist visas, tips to guide and drive and any personal expenses.
4. How will the private tour take place?
The way in which the private tour takes place depends on what you want to see and the time you have, as well as your budget. The distances between the main areas of Turkey visited by the majority on their first trip are huge. Between each of the places: Istanbul, Ephesus and Cappadocia there is a trip of ten hours or more. For this reason, flying can make a lot of sense and can reduce the costs of your private tour, but if your group is larger, as in the case of families and groups of 10 or more, the land tour is not much more than fly. You can also combine both private tours and group tours. In general, if a private tour is short and extends a long distance, it is too expensive. Let's say that you are a very small group that wants to go between Istanbul and Marmaris in just a few days. The guide and the driver who accompany him also need to return to Istanbul. In most cases, the guide will return and the driver will have a day to drive, which greatly increases the cost.
5. How much does a private tour in Turkey cost?
There are many factors, but let's start with the cost of group travel. If you take a classic tour in Turkey or take a tailor-made tour in Turkey, the cost is around 140 euros per person per day in a double room. This does not apply to itineraries that are developed with more free time, cruise on schooner or other special conditions.
If you decide on a private tour, the cost will be more than this. If the size of the group is large enough, the cost of the private tour approximates the group's prices.
For only two people, private customized tours are considerably less expensive than land tours. Adapted means that you have different guides and drivers available during the day to navigate the places you want to see. The rest of the time you have free time on your own. Prices can start from about 150 euros per person per day sharing a double room, but if the tour is done by land, you can pay more than double.
The cultural trips of HTR Travel in small groups with a maximum of ten passengers are also a good value if you are just a couple or a small group. Normally, people who travel in Insight in small groups have the same mentality and age and get along. In many cases new friendships are made.
All group tours that you see on our website can be done privately and, in addition, we can offer special programs according to your needs and interests.
