The largest defensive wall for protection was built by Sultan Mehmet in 1451 before his conquest of the City. The Fortress is very well preserved and its Towers and walls can clearly be seen when our boat passes by.
This Majestic yet surprisingly small Mosque was designed by the famous ottoman architect Mimar Sinan, The construction took place from 1561 to 1563 and is famous for its exquisite Iznik tiles that are set in beautiful floral and geometric arrangements which cover the facade of the porch the Mirab, Minbar walls and the columns of the Interior.

This great Mosque was built by the famous architect Mimar Sinan by order of the Sultan Sueyman, the construction took eight years to complete and stands proud on Istanbul’s skyline, it is the largest Mosque in the City and is the burial place of Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent and his wife.
