Day 1 – İzmir
Arrival to Izmir airport, we drive to the Karatas quarter to see the Beth Israel Synagogue, in Ottoman-Victorian style. Next, take a ride on the Asansör, a 19th century hilltop funicular, After that Drive up to Kadifekale hill overlooking the city and the bay, to enjoy a coffee. After that we drive to Sardes , once the capital of the Lydian kingdom, where a large and prosperous Jewish community resided in its heyday as a Roman city. Visit the ruins, including the enormously rich Roman Synagogue. After lunch return to Izmir. Overnight in Izmir. (D,L)
Day 2 – Ephesus Tour – Airport (B-L)
Breakfast served at the hotel. Drive to Selcuk for Ephesus which was the Roman Province of Asia Minor. At the Ancient site you will visit the Odeon, the Bouleterion, the Fountains, the Temple, the Brothl, the Library, the Agoras, the great Theater, the Roman baths, the Marble road and the Gymnasium. After Lunch visit the Archaeogical Museum filled with a rich collection from the site around. Then you will visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the world. After the tour you will be transferred back to Izmir Airport or your Hotel.
