Day 1: Trabzon
Meet at Trabzon Airport, transfer to hotel, depart for St.Sophia, a 13th century Byzantine Church and study superb Byzantines frescoes, drive to Akcaabat for lunch, depart for Gülbahar Hatun Mosque, Castle and Atatürk’s Mansion (a picturesque hillside retreat) visit Ortahisar Mosque (a Comneni cathedral in the old town) drive to Boztepe, drink tea and enjoy the panoramic view of the city, return to Hotel Overnight in Trabzon
Day 2: Trabzon
Depart for Sumela Monastery; arrive at Altindere Valley National Park. Reach the monastery after a 35 min. climb from the valley, visit the 4th century Sumela Monastery and descend to the valley, depart Altindere for lunch to Cosandere Restaurant. After lunch depart for Karaca Cave, traveling along the old Silk Road through the Zigana Mountain chain. Arrive at Karaca Cave, considered the most beautiful in Turkey for its colors and formations,return to hotel Overnight in Trabzon
Day 3: Trabzon
Depart for Uzungöl, visit Rize Botanic Garden on the way and arrive at Uzungöl, one of the most photogenic locations in the region, lunch at a fish restaurant, sightseeing. Return to hotel Overnight in Trabzon
Day 4: Firtina Valley – Ayder
Depart for Ayder, along the road have a panoramic view of Rize, drive to Camlihemsin through the beautiful Firtina Valley, enjoy the panorama with it’s many waterfalls, stone bridges on firtina stream and lush green forests on the foothills of the magnificent Kackar Mountains, lunch, sightseeing in Ayder. Return to hotel Overnight in Trabzon.
Free time, transfer to Trabzon Airport for a homebound flight and say farewell…
